i don't get why would u bother using insurance cases to hook up.

Do your own investments, roboadvisors, ETF, fund markets, you probably save tons of commission compared to going for a banker or insurance agent (or financial CONsultant)

By cancelling the existing policy and buying a new policy from another agent or the same agent, the agent won't get any commission. Any decent or right-minded agent won't even bother to entertain this thought.

Your friend would be even more stupid to want to consider cancelling a policy that he has paid for years just hoping for any extras from agent.
